Payment Options

Financial options are discussed during the initial visit. Dr. Sachs and his staff are committed to providing excellent dental care and guide patients in choosing the best payment option for their individual needs. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Care Credit (a dental credit card).

Dental Insurance

Your insurance plan is a contract between your employer and a dental insurance company. Benefits received are based on the terms of the contract negotiated between your employer and the dental insurance company, and not your dental office.

The goal of most dental insurance policies is to provide only basic care for specific dental services. The benefits that you receive from the dental insurance company for your current insurance plan have nothing to do with your needs or achieving a high-quality, complete result.

Your benefits are decided between your employer and the insurance company. Many needed services may not be covered. Our office will do everything possible to help you understand and make the most of your dental insurance benefits. As a courtesy, our office will complete and submit your insurance forms to achieve the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled. Please remember that you are ultimately responsible for all expenses incurred. We urge you to read the policy so that you are fully aware of coverage and any limitations of the benefits provided.

Based on the information that you give us, as well as information from an insurance plans database program, we are able to provide you with benefit estimates. When benefits are known, we ask that you pay only your estimated deductible and co-payment at the time of your first visit. If benefits are on a fixed schedule and are unknown, then we will estimate your co-payment. When we are unable to verify insurance coverage, then we will ask you to pay for your treatment in-full at the time of service. Occasionally an insurance company pays less than anticipated. Should this happen, you are responsible for payment of your account balance. We will be happy to assist you in resolving a dispute with your insurance company. However, our relationship is with you not the insurer. We are not responsible for their actions.

We reserve the right to decline assignment of benefits from a carrier, should they have a history of difficulty. In those cases, we will submit claims for you to be reimbursed directly.
